What is a prosthodontist?

It goes beyond a family dentist. Prosthodontists specialize in the restoration and replacement of teeth. A prosthodontist's intensive training goes beyond the standard norms of a dental degree.

What are the health risks for people who are missing teeth?

These people are not able to chew properly, their speech may be affected, and they may have a tough time interacting socially and have a low self-esteem. Diseased teeth can adversely affect a person's general health.

How many Americans are missing their teeth?

The ADA has found that 100 million Americans are missing teeth.

Are there programs that help individuals who can not afford surgery?

Yes. One is a national program called Donated Dental Services. Each year this program screens patients who are missing teeth. The program picks two needy individuals and donates dental services to them.

How long does dental implant surgery take?

Sixty minutes. The process is called Teeth In An Hour. The surgery is incisionless and sutureless and minimally invasive for the patient.
